Games Developer based in Sheffield, UK.
Currently employed as a Technical Designer at Sumo Digital on an unnanounced project. Graduated BSc Computer Science at the University of Sheffield in 2020. Sadly I can't post any of my unreleased work at Sumo (even my game jam games) but I've made a little collection here of things I've worked on to give an overview.
Previously worked on a year long placement as an Augmented Reality Game Developer at Twinkl Ltd from 2018 to 2019.
Nowadays I mostly use Unreal (C++ & BP), Unity and Godot but my roots go back to Game Maker Studio 1.4 and I love learning new languages, tools and programming paradigms!
I led the development of ‘Zool Redimensioned’ from the initial concept and prototype stages through to its release on Steam in 2021 via Secret Mode. I also guided several other interns throughout the process and helped them develop their own skills.
My favourite aspect of game development is character locomotion and physics as these systems have a direct relationship to game feel and responsiveness which are very important to me as a player. I am also a strong communicator enjoy expressing and presenting technical content ways which are accessible to others.
I also write music both for and not for games! You can check some of that out at: www.jumperboytheband.bandcamp.com
